Clarkebond appointed to landmark retail and leisure development

Clarkebond has been appointed to deliver civil and structural engineering services for a new premium outlet shopping and garden centre destination located at junction 9 of the M5 motorway, prominently fronting the A46 trunk road.

The highly anticipated Designer Outlet Cotswolds village, covering an expansive area of 195,000ft², will open in two phases, offering an exciting selection of 90 retail units, alongside a delightful assortment of restaurants and cafes.

Designer Outlet Cotswolds is part of an overall development together with a 74,000ft² Dobbies flagship garden centre and 850 homes, school, and a local centre. 

The outlet village will feature aspirational brands across fashion, athleisure, footwear, and lifestyle along with quality restaurants and coffee shops.

The new 195,000ft² Designer Outlet Cotswolds village will be opened in two phases and will feature 90 retail units, restaurants, and cafes. 

The garden centre will feature an extensive plants and gardening department, food hall, cookshop, pet department, table service restaurant, soft play area for children and have its own 500-space car park and much more.

Clarkebond engineers are currently assisting developer Robert Hitchins Ltd to satisfy the remaining reserved matters contained within the outline planning permission.

Contractors are on site having commenced the infrastructure works in preparation for the main project to start in 2021. The first phase expected to open towards with end of 2022.
