Gemma has a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath and is a chartered member of both the Institution of Structural Engineers and Institution of Civil Engineers.
She has 15 years post chartered experience leading the design of projects across a range of sectors including education, historic structures, offices, residential, retail and data centres.
Gemma recently relocated to Exeter having previously worked predominantly for a large consultancy in London. She has been involved in notable projects such as renovation works to the Palace of Westminster and the Hyde Park Serpentine Pavilions as well as two IStructE Sustainability Award winning projects; Adnams Distribution Centre and Halley VI Antarctic Research Station.
Gemma also acts a mentor for engineers aiming for Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
