A highly qualified and experienced professional, Mark has over twenty-five years’ experience in the regeneration of brownfield sites for both residential and commercial use.
This has involved the detailed investigation and subsequent remediation of a wide range of brownfield sites affected by environmental and geotechnical constrains arising from former industrial uses and the local geology.
These sites have ranged in size and complexity from small former petrol sites up to large redundant steelworks and other industrial sites.
With a background as an engineering geologist Mark can combine both the scientific and engineering disciplines associated with land regeneration to develop pragmatic and effective solutions to complex sites. For most sites both geotechnical and geo-environmental issues have required assessment.
Mark leads Clarkebond’s expanding national ground engineering team from the Bristol office.
Mark’s qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Geology and an MSc in Engineering Geology. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS), is a Chartered Geologist (CGeol), has a PRINCE2 qualification and is a registered CL:AiRE Qualified Person.
