Philip is a Director of Façade Engineering and Tall Buildings with over 30 years work experience with eminent engineering, construction and project management companies. He has provided high level advice on the design, value engineering and cost optimization of a large number of high profile projects such as the Shard, Leadenhall Building, Jeddah Kingdom Tower, and Abu Dhabi Airport. He has over 50 publications in a wide range of engineering fields including offshore platforms, tall buildings, soil-structure interaction, blast and seismic engineering, and disaster management.
Philip has a PhD in soil-structure interaction, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2008. He was also awarded an honorary Fellowship of the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) in 2004, and has been a member of the RICS Presidential Commission on Disaster Management and International Building Quality Group.
