Seymour D’Oyley

Regional Director

Seymour is a chartered engineer and water and environmental manager with over 26 years of civil engineering experience (water and the environment) across a variety of sectors in the UK and abroad (Jamaica and Belize). These include the retail, education, major highways, rail, industrial, office and residential sectors.

He has worked for government agencies and multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies – spending spent six (6) years as an Area hydrologist at the Environment Agency Wales, now Natural Resources Wales and five (5) years at the Water Resources Authority, Jamaica.

His experience includes, business management, leading and delivering major projects, project management, head of technical departments, and several technical roles in hydrology, and water resources and environmental management.

Seymour’s experience also covers roles within multi-disciplinary strategic studies (at the Environment Agency) to implement specific European Union (EU) Directives in the UK such as the Water Framework Directive (Council Directive 2000/60/EC), Flood Directive (Directive 2007/60/EC) and Habitats Directive (Council Directive 92/43/EEC), as well as UK focussed strategic studies such as Catchment Flood Management Plans (CFMPs) and Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy (CAMS).

He is a registered member of the Engineering Council and the Society for the Environment, and holds the professional qualifications of CEng and CEnv respectively. Seymour is also a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and a chartered member (MCIWEM C.WEM) of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.
